Khawaja Asif: Certain factors are undermining the state’s interests in Kashmir.
According to Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, every citizen must uphold the nation’s Constitution and be loyal to the state.
The recent events in Azad Kashmir prompted the defence minister to make the comment. According to him, each citizen’s fundamental obligations are allegiance to the state and respect for the Constitution.
Khawaja Asif stated on X that “dialogue begins with loyalty and complete obedience to the state” and that “some individuals in Azad Kashmir were treading a path that is against the interests of the state and they should study Article 5 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which demands unwavering loyalty to the state.”
According to the defence minister, national stability and peace are ensured by upholding the values of state discipline, the rule of law, and national unity.
