Regarding the harassment of students at educational institutions, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar and Advocate General Punjab for questioning on Friday (tomorrow).
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum of the Lahore High Court questioned Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar during the case’s hearing on harassment on campuses, questioning why the IGP did not stop images and recordings of a female student from going viral.
“The girl’s life has been destroyed,” said the Chief Justice of the LHC. The Instagrammer needs to clarify why the video’s viral nature was not stopped.
The Chief Justice went on to wonder if the Punjab IG had been so ignorant as to permit the photographs and video to go viral. She further emphasized that the name of a victim cannot be published in print under the Anti-Rape Act.
A lawyer claimed that the property was damaged as a result of hearing about the alleged rape of a female student at a private institution.
FIA creates a 7-person JIT and files a FIR against 36 individuals.
A seven-person committee has been established by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to look into the unsubstantiated report of a female student at a private institution being raped.
FI filed a lawsuit in the FIA Cybercrime Circle against 36 people on behalf of the private college administration for conducting a social media campaign.
A number of social media profiles are also being looked into. The course of the current investigation will reveal whether or not others were involved.
The college administration filed the case, No. 168/24.
