LHC seeks comments on PTI’s suggestion for a rally on August 14.

Responses to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) appeal for authorisation to host a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14 have been received by the Lahore High Court (LHC) by tomorrow.

The petition brought by Akmal Khan was heard by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.

Every political party has a constitutional and democratic right to hold rallies, according to the petitioner. He also implored the court to reverse the administration’s denial of the rally’s authorisation.

At the hearing, Justice Najafi asked the district administration’s attorneys how they could stop political activity and if they had any procedures in place for gatherings.

Judge Naqvi made the observation that he could not merely accept a refusal to allow the rally (without a good explanation).

As a result, the PTI’s plea to host a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan has been sent to the LHC, which has instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore and other pertinent parties to provide their answers by tomorrow.
