ARY News was informed by sources that President Alvi signed the summary sent by the interim administration in spite of his “reservations.”
Dr. Arif Alvi also “expressed” concerns about the “tone and allegations” in the caretaker summary that PM Anwaarul Kakar provided, according to a statement released by the President’s House.
Timetable for the PM election
The new MPs will be sworn in by Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf, and the new speaker and deputy speaker will then be elected in accordance with the timetable.
Aspiring candidates must turn in their nomination papers by 12 p.m. today in order to be considered for the aforementioned highly sought-after constitutional offices. Voting is scheduled for this Friday or tomorrow.
The election for the nation’s top executive would take place next week on March 4 (Monday). The election for prime minister would come next, with candidates having to file their candidature papers by March 3.
