Malam Jabba Incident: IED Attack Leaves One Cop Dead and Three Injured

An attack using an improvised explosive device killed one police officer and injured three others. The attack targeted a police van that was escorting a convoy of foreign envoys from the Malam Jabba district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office said that a group of diplomats on their way to Islamabad from Malam Jabba and Swat saw an incident.

When an IED struck an advance scout police car, one of the officers was injured. The diplomats have made their way back to Islamabad without incident.

In addition to expressing her condolences to the families of the three injured police officers and the fallen policeman, the Foreign Office Spokesperson remarked, “We honor our law enforcement authorities that remain steadfast in the face of terrorists.”
