According to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, her government is strengthening underprivileged people through tangible economic policies and public welfare programs rather than catchphrases in an effort to end poverty.

In her special message on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Maryam Nawaz stated that a number of government initiatives, such as the Honhaar Scholarship Program, Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar, Parwaaz Card, and laptop distribution, are helping the poor.

According to the chief minister, interest-free loans and skill-development initiatives are empowering rural women financially. She further mentioned that the Punjab government paid all of the recipients’ wedding costs under the Dhee Rani Program.

According to Maryam Nawaz, the Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar program has been leasing thousands of acres of government land to impoverished and landless rural inhabitants for ten years. The program’s objectives were to lower rural poverty, boost agricultural output, and deal with unemployment.

She added that loans with simple terms and reduced markup rates were being made available to women, young people, and skilled workers to assist them in starting their own enterprises.
