In seven operations, more than 371 kg of drugs were confiscated, and six suspected people were taken into custody, according to an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) spokesman providing updates on the operations against drug trafficking.
Two women traveling to Dubai at Islamabad International Airport had four kilograms of hashish found on them during a huge operation. The Quetta courier office booked four kilograms of drug shipments for New Zealand.
“3.8 kilograms of ice were found on a passenger departing from Karachi Airport for Bahrain,” according to ANF. “A vehicle in Quetta’s Western Bypass contained over seven lakh drug pills, and two suspects were taken into custody,” the speaker stated.
The culprit was found in the vicinity of Tando Jam in Hyderabad with six kilograms of hashish, according to the spokesperson.
According to an ANF representative, “more than 50 kg of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Ring Road Peshawar.”
At the Pak-Afghanistan border in Torkham, close to Nadra Chowk, 22,000 narcotic pills were found during another large-scale raid.
Under the Anti-Narcotics Act, several cases have been filed against the detained suspects while inquiries are not yet complete.
