Meeting between the prime minister and the chief advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government in a bilateral setting during the 79th UN General Assembly session

Meeting on the fringes of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York was Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s Chief Advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus, of the Interim Government of Bangladesh.

Based on a shared faith, history, and culture, the prime minister emphasised Pakistan’s strong fraternal relations with Bangladesh. Additionally, he underlined that in order to improve the bilateral ties even more, cooperation between the two parties is necessary. He promoted parliamentary exchanges, person-to-person connections, and engagements between athletes, scholars, artists, students, and other groups in order to build relations, taking advantage of the great kindness and affection that exist between the citizens of the two countries.

Furthermore, in a further demonstration of the significance of regional collaboration and communication, the Prime Minister invited the Chief Executive to make an official visit to Pakistan whenever it would be convenient.

At the bilateral, regional, and global levels, both parties acknowledged that close collaboration was necessary to support the advancement and development of their respective peoples.
