During a high-level meeting presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the decision to halt passport issue to Pakistanis seeking asylum overseas was scrapped.

Passports for Pakistanis living abroad will be provided within 60 days, the Deputy Prime Minister was informed at the meeting.

Through this endeavour, Pakistani nationals living overseas will be able to obtain their passports without excessive waiting since the process will be streamlined.
