Although the monsoon is getting closer, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will personally keep an eye on the situation after the predicted floods.
Foreseeing floods, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today held a meeting in Islamabad and set up a High Level Committee to handle any situation.
The Prime Minister told all the relevant departments to stay alert and told the National Disaster Management Authority to work with the provinces and other relevant authorities to resolve the flooding.
In addition, Shehbaz Sharif told everyone who lives near rivers and streams to get daily information on the flood situation.
In addition, NDMA told the Prime Minister about places that could flood.
Heavy rain is expected across the whole country during the first two weeks of July, according to the Met Office.
Leaders of all four provinces’ secretariats, the chairman of the NDMA, and officials from related departments all attended the meeting.
