Metro bus service will not operating till Friday.

For security reasons, the Metro Bus service in Islamabad has been suspended until Friday, according to the district administration.

According to the administration, enhanced security measures include the temporary service suspension, and delegates from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting are still returning to their home nations.

Additionally, buses on feeder routes linked to the Metro Bus service will be suspended, the district administration announced in a statement.

To protect visiting dignitaries’ safety and facilitate their seamless movement, the Metro Bus service has been suspended.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from October 14–16. Prior to this, the government had announced a thorough traffic plan for Rawalpindi and Islamabad. In order to maintain efficient traffic flow throughout the well-publicized event, multiple road closures and detours were anticipated.

Heavy traffic of any kind was forbidden in the city from October 14 to October 16. For the purpose of controlling and facilitating traffic during this time, more than 1,100 traffic officers had been employed. There was no traffic on the expressway that runs from Zero Point to Koral Chowk.

Moreover, from October 14 to October 17, the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service was totally canceled. Sadar Station and the Pakistan Secretariat will not be served by the Metro at this period.
