The group, which also includes senior leaders Syed Mustafa Kamal and Dr. Farooq Sattar, will be led by MQM-P Chairman and Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, according to the sources.

The MQM-P would inform the prime minister of the party’s disapproval of the NAB law modifications, according to people with knowledge of the issue.

“The MQM-P will also talk about the country’s political situation, trader problems, and development projects in Karachi,” the sources continued.

Along with these issues, the party led by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will address growing electricity load shedding, overbilling, law and order, and journalist murder.

Earlier on Tuesday, the federal government’s coalition partner, the MQM-P, referred to the recent changes made to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) statute as “inappropriate.”

An accused person’s remand by the NAB from 14 to 40 days “will not be beneficial either,” a MQM-P spokeswoman stated.

The minimum sentence reduction for NAB personnel found guilty of misbehavior was also challenged by the MQM-P.

“It is also incomprehensible to lower the penalty period for a NAB official who fabricates the case from five to two years,” the MQM-P asserted.

The country’s politics and economy have already incurred “irreparable damage,” according to the party, as a result of NAB legislation and their improper implementation.
