Aima Baig recently made a list of Pakistan’s underappreciated and overrated musicians on the actor-host Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast, “Excuse Me.” She included the up-and-coming singer Nehaal Naseem and claimed to have imitated her completely.

Regarding overrated Pakistani singers, Baig asserted that the nation’s female performers are underappreciated rather than overvalued. The “Khul Ke Khel” singer answered, “There are Fabiha, Nirmala, and more, whose people don’t even know the names of,” when asked to name.

“But there is one girl I feel really proud of,” she went on. That girl is Nehaal [Naseem]. She sounds just like me when she first started, as I recall.

Baig said, “If I had to share one of my proudest moments with someone, it would be this: I’ve also accomplished this because she literally, like, completely mimicked me.”

“It is an achievement for me that I inspired someone so much that they impersonated me,” she said in response to the question of if it was a complement.

It’s important to mention that Nehaal Naseem, 18, and the Wajahat brothers Aashir and Nayel are presently enjoying widespread success with their viral song “Sadqay.”
