NEPRA probably will lower its power tariff.

The proposal to lower the power tariff by 57 paisa per unit for one month was heard by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), which is a much-needed step for electricity customers.

If authorised, the proposed decrease might offer substantial comfort to customers who have been facing skyrocketing electricity costs. After reviewing the information provided during the hearing, NEPRA will now decide.

If the plan is approved, consumers nationwide may receive a collective relief of more over Rs 7 billion as a result of this reduction. Many homes and companies are looking for financial relief due to increased power expenses, thus the decision is much anticipated.

Although the conclusion of NEPRA’s judgment would provide some short-term respite, many Pakistanis would still be extremely concerned about the bigger problem of high electricity bills.
