Actress Nimra Khan says she resisted her attackers and stopped a kidnapping attempt. She described the terrifying experience in an emotional video she sent to her Instagram account. The encounter left her clearly frightened.
According to Nimra Khan, the scary experience happened the day before while she was waiting for her car outside a hotel.
She said that three armed men came up to her and tried to force her into their car at gunpoint. Nimra resisted and ran in the direction of the pavement despite the risk.
Nimra conveyed her anguish in her video, stating that nobody in the vicinity aided her throughout the assault. She disclosed that the armed men were pursuing her and might have fired a gun at her. She didn’t find safety until she flagged down a passing car with help from the family inside and the hotel personnel.
After giving the situation some thought, Nimra wondered if women were truly protected in Pakistan and if Pakistan Day should even be observed. Is it true that no one’s mother, sister, wife, or daughter is in danger in Pakistan? Sadly, the response is no.”
Since the video went viral, many people on social media have expressed pity for the offenders and called on the authorities to find and detain them. Nationwide indignation and calls for more robust measures to protect women’s safety have been stoked by this occurrence.
