Nine workers from Pakistan are given their bodies by Iran.

Assistant Commissioner Taftan, Waqar Kakar, accepted the lifeless remains of Pakistani nationals.

The Iranian authorities denounced the act and requested an investigation.

In a statement, the Iranian envoy to Pakistan denounced the murders of Pakistani labourers in Iran and declared that Tehran and Islamabad would not stand for harm to their ties to be done.

At least nine Pakistani citizens were shot dead and three others were injured by unidentified gunmen on January 27 in the Saravan district of the province of Sistan Baluchestan in southeast Iran.

Five of the fatalities, according to the information that ARY News has access to, were from various parts of Alipur in the Punjab province and had been employed in Iran for the last ten years.
