No schools’ closure in Punjab today as govt rejects fake social media holiday notice
The provincial education administration, dismissing a notification on social media about shutdown of schools, said that the educational institutions across Punjab would be open at normal time on Monday (today).
The Punjab School Education Department official said that no decision has been taken to close educational institutions across the province and advised the public not to trust the deceptive notification.
The Punjab Higher Education Department also dismissed a bogus notification on Monday that claimed that public and private colleges and universities across the province would stay closed. It said that they will operate as normal.
In the meantime, officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced shutdowns in some districts instead of the whole province.
