A free medical camp was held at the government dispensary in the Mithi District of Tharparkar by the Pakistan Army and physicians from the District Health Quarters.
Over one thousand patients (including 285 men, 413 women, and 316 children) received complete medical care in the camp.
Expert physicians from many disciplines were in attendance to share their knowledge, including pathology, internal medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology.
Laboratory testing was made possible at the camp for hepatitis B and C, dengue, malaria, enteric fever, pregnancy, urine RE, blood sugar, and ultrasound.
In addition, a small OT facility was made available, and the patients received free vitamins and medications.
Immunisations were given, and patients as well as the community’s health visitors and midwives received hygiene and first aid kits to encourage safe and hygienic practices.
In addition, the camp offered medical advice on conditions like anaemia, urinary tract infections (UTTIs), malaria, dengue fever, gastroenteritis, diabetes, hypertension, and prenatal care.
Women’s health concerns received particular attention, such as dermatitis, urticaria, pruritus, and illnesses affecting mothers and children.
The Pakistan Army provided free medical care and testing facilities, for which the people of Mithi District are grateful.
