According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund has been created with the purpose of providing higher education opportunities for children from impoverished households. A specific allocation of 20% of the fund has been designated for the youth of Balochistan.
Addressing the recently elected President of the Oxford Union, Israr Khan Kakar, at Oxford University in Islamabad today, the Prime Minister cordially received him in the prime minister’s residence and expressed gratitude for his efforts in promoting Pakistan’s reputation internationally.
The Prime Minister emphasised that gifted young individuals such as Israr Kakar are the key contributors to the long-term and promising future of Pakistan.
He conveyed to Israr that your participation in the election for the President of the Oxford Union and your subsequent rise to a leadership position exemplify your resolute and unquestioning will.
He hoped that Israr Kakar and other gifted Pakistani young people would continue to serve as ambassadors for Pakistan on the global stage.
According to him, it is a source of great satisfaction for a young person from a disadvantaged region of Balochistan to receive scholarships at every level of their studies by unwavering dedication, and ultimately to be chosen as the president of a renowned institution such as Oxford Union.
The prime minister was invited by Israr Khan Kakar to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.
He praised the Prime Minister for his endeavors to empower the youth and ensure they have equal development chances, encouraging all young people to actively contribute to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
