Pakistan Railways grants individuals with special needs a 50% subsidy.

A representative from the Railways Ministry stated that the concession will be given upon presenting a computerised national identity card with a disability logo.

He indicated that attendants of visually challenged people would also be eligible for a 50% discount.

The Ministry of Railways raised the cost of tickets for people by up to 50% on September 23.

Pakistan Railways reportedly raised economy class ticket prices from 10% to 50%, which has a negative financial impact on the country’s inhabitants.

Trains from Karachi to Hyderabad, Tando Adam, and Tando Jam, Kotri now have more expensive tickets according to the Railway Department.

Additionally, there are new economy class rates on the trains that run from Lahore to Sialkot, Narowal, Narang Mandi, and from Faisalabad to Pindi.

The cost of travelling in economy class for shorter routes up to 250 kilometres has also gone up by 10 to 20 percent.
