Pakistan’s Ahmed Baig places eighth at Morocco golf tourney
Pakistani golfer Ahmed Ali Baig had an amazing 4 days of golf at the IGPL Rising Stars Morocco Golf Tournament, ending 7th overall.
Baig finished the competition with an 11-under par total, representing Pakistan well against a field of international competitors.
The Pakistani golfer had a tough start, scoring one-over par in the first round, but made an amazing return in the second round with a six-under par score to move up the leaderboard.
He continued the good form in the third round with a two-under par effort and then turned in his best golf of the day in the fourth round, closing with four-under par to round off the event on a strong note.
Baig ended up six shots back of the winner, Thailand’s Thanapat Pichaikool.
The Morocco international gathered 144 golfers from across the world with a total prise purse of $160,000.
