Naqvi said that the senior men’s selection committee does not have a pool of players from which to choose to replace the underperforming players during his Monday interaction with the media here at Gaddafi Stadium. This suggests that the team’s surgery has been postponed.
“The issue lies in the lack of a player bank for our selection committee to choose from.”
If we had discussed the procedure before, it was always with the intention of making up for what went wrong.
“However, to say that we have a list of 10–25 players to replace, say, four players, would be inaccurate given the lack of players and data that we have.”
Following that, Mohsin Naqvi asserted that Pakistan Cricket would be able to discover and develop fresh talent thanks to the upcoming Champions Cup and that the selection committee would have a large enough player pool to alter the lineup following the conclusion of the domestic competition.
