The Champions T20 Cup, Champions First-Class Cup, and Champions One-Day Cup are the three new competitions.
The three new competitions will be added to the 2024–25 domestic cricket season’s already-existing National T20 Cup, Pakistan Super League 2025, President’s Trophy (departmental first-class tournament), Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (regional first-class tournament), and President’s Cup (departmental 50-over event). The dates of the activities are anticipated to be September 1, 2024, to August 5, 2025.
Additionally, the PCB has revealed the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL 10) provisional schedule.
The 10th PSL edition, which will feature 34 matches overall, is scheduled to run from April 10 to May 25, according to a press release from the PCB.
Karachi was previously suggested to host five PSL 2025 matches. Rawalpindi will receive eight matches, while Lahore will receive up to ten. Five matches will also be played for Multan throughout the event.
The PSL is normally held in February or March, but the cricket board moved the competition to April or May in order to avoid conflicting with the ICC Champions Trophy, which is scheduled for February 2025. This will be the first time that the PSL and IPL have conflicting dates.
Notably, in February and March of next year, the PCB Pakistan is set to host the eight-nation Champions Trophy.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) struck an agreement in December of last year to host the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai.
