PDMA warns of rain and thunderstorms throughout Punjab.
A new notice for dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain has been issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for many districts in Punjab, warning of uncertain weather conditions starting Sunday evening.
A representative for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab stated that from May 10 to May 12, significant rainfall is anticipated in several areas of the province.
Rain is expected in a number of districts, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Gujranwala, according to the notice. Showers are also anticipated in other places like Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Jhang, and Dera Ghazi Khan, as well as the adjacent areas, are expected to receive additional rainfall.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered commissioners and deputy commissioners around the province to remain on high alert in order to guarantee prompt reaction to any emergency, according to officials.
The PDMA has recommended people to avoid needless travel during storms and periods of intense rain, as well as to take precautions during severe weather.
