-Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has restarted its flight operations between Pakistan and China with the first flight being operated on Oct 30, restoring direct air service between Islamabad and Beijing.

This restart is a milestone in developing the aviation ties between the two nations and is reflective of the determination of PIA to restore and maintain normal operations to the Chinese market.

PIA’s new schedule would see the airline run weekly flights from Islamabad to Beijing every Friday, giving passengers a direct and comfortable travel alternative between the two cities. The airline also seeks to offer affordable fares, yet with continuous and reliable service.

PIA has taken a huge move to expand its network in China by forging closer ties with three major Chinese airlines – Air China, Shenzhen Airlines and Hainan Airlines.

The cooperation with Air China means travellers will have onwards connections to a range of domestic destinations via Beijing, a significant aviation hub.
