The government wants all people to have access to smartphones, broadband internet for all households, and QR code facilities for all companies, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Julian Gorman, the Asia Pacific Head of the GSM Association, led a delegation that he met with and he communicated these concerns to them. For this fiscal year, the Prime Minister emphasized, the Federal Government has set aside an unprecedented amount for development in order to support the telecom and information technology industries.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s dedication to diversifying the nation’s exports and recognized the important role GSMA plays in digitization initiatives. In an effort to promote IT and telecommunications even more, he applauded the organization’s plan to host a Digital National Summit in Islamabad.
