LONDON – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived here and is likely to stay at his mansion, Avenfield House, for a medical examination.

Sources said Nawaz Sharif arrived in London’s Heathrow Airport by a private airplane flight. After his arrival he left the airport and went to his home at Avenfield Apartments.

Sources said the former prime minister will probably stay at Avenfield House during his visit to the British capital. As part of his stay he is also scheduled to go through a medical.

But there was no further information about how long he would be staying or what kind of medical test he was having.

Nawaz Sharif had already visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in September, visiting Naran after almost 16 years of his last visit.

During his visit, Nawaz Sharif attended an important meeting with the local PML-N office-bearers in Naran and was briefed in depth on the situation in the area and local issues.

He was apprised about the harm to natural beauty of Naran including impact of expressway project, bad condition of roads and other challenges faced by the area.

Nawaz Sharif said he will raise the challenges being experienced by Naran with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and seek measures for their settlement.
