Azam Nazir Tarar, the leader of the PML-N, has stated that only parties having a parliamentary presence are eligible for reserved seats, as per the clear legal stance on the matter.

Azam Nazir Tarar told the journalists outside the Election Commission Secretariat that Sunni Itehad Counsel does not have a single seat that they can claim as its own.

There aren’t many independents in Sunni Itehad, he claimed, and they are now asking the Election Commission for an adjournment.

According to PML-N Leader Ata Tarar, the demand made by Sunni Itehad is unconstitutional, and the reserved seats are distributed based on the results of the voting.

He claimed that the list was given in advance and that neither Sunni Itehad Counsel nor its reviewers had submitted the list.
