The PPP wins a second SA seat following a vote recount.

According to the data, Asif Khan of the PPP defeated independent candidate Shahnawaz Jadoon, who was endorsed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), with a margin of 766 votes.

Form 49, released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), shows that the PPP candidate received 20310 votes, while the independent candidate nominated by the PTI received 19544 votes.

With 20609 votes, the PTI-bagged independent candidate was proclaimed the winner earlier in Form 47. Asif Khan of the PPP, who had 18939 votes, asked for a vote recount.

The PPP will now have 87 general seats in the Sindh Assembly as a consequence of the most recent polls. In the general elections held on February 8, the PPP won 84 seats, while two independent candidates announced their intention to join the party.
