Preparations for the Taftan Border: Measures Done for Pilgrims’ Comfort And Security

To guarantee the pilgrims’ safe and enjoyable travel to Iran during the month of Muharram, the Pakistan Army and the Civil Administration have taken extra precautions.

Travelers traveling the 630 miles from Quetta to Taftan are guarded by 1400 security personnel. In three distinct locations, FC Balochistan and NHA have built rest homes.

Three additional FIA counters are available to expedite the immigration process, bringing the total number of counters to twenty. In order to shield passengers from the heat, the authorities have placed shades at the waiting areas.

Approximately sixty thousand pilgrims visit sacred places in Taftan, Iran, during Muharram each year, coming from Pakistan.

Arriving from Quetta, pilgrims headed for Iran conveyed their contentment with the actions undertaken by the Armed Forces, Balochistan Police, and the Civil Administration.
