President, PM praise security personnel for killing 24 terrorists in Bannu

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid appreciation to security forces and law enforcement agencies for killing 24 Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in a successful intelligence based operation in Bannu and adjoining areas.

The president and the prime minister in their separate comments praised the swift and effective action of the security forces against the elements responsible for attacks on police personnel and innocent civilians, particularly in Bannu.

“The operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and their facilitators working under Indian patronage will be taken to their logical conclusion,” the president declared and added that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces and law enforcement agencies.

The eradication of terrorists and their facilitators was the primary goal of the government, said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He emphasised the government’s resolve to thwart the malicious plans of Indian-sponsored terrorist forces and bring to account those involved in attacks on security personnel and civilians.
