President Zardari in London for ‘medical check-up’
President Asif Ali Zardari has reached London for a two-week visit to the United Kingdom, sources said.
Sources said the president is scheduled to undergo a series of medical checks while in the UK. He is also not expected to get involved in any political activities while in London.
Although the visit is a private one, numerous delegations are likely to meet President Zardari throughout his stay.
Sources say Senator Saleem Mandviwalla and his personal physician Dr Asim Hussain are accompanying Zardari.
This is Zardari’s first visit to the UK in almost six years, the sources said. His son and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also likely to arrive in London in the next few days.
