PSX closes week in the red, KSE-100 loses 2,367 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) suffered a negative trend during the outgoing business week as the benchmark KSE-100 index lost 2,367 points to close at 175,328.

The benchmark index moved in a range of 3,623 points, trading with volatility during the week. It reached a high of 178,138 points and a low of 174,515 points this week.

The week also saw strong trading activity with over 3.8 billion shares changing hands in transactions worth Rs166 billion.

The market’s entire capitalization decreased to Rs19,629 billion, a reduction of Rs256 billion over the week.

The weekly performance suggested ongoing pressure on the stock market with the benchmark index closing the week far lower than where it began.
