Many government employees in Punjab are waiting with bated breath for news of a salary hike as the provincial government prepares to unveil its annual budget for 2024–25.
We need to know how big of a raise federal employees may expect this time around.
Salary increases of up to 25% and pension increases of up to 15% are being considered by the Punjab administration. The federal government follows this procedure.
Salaries for workers over 80 years old were raised by 20 percent last year, and the temporary administration headed by Mohsin Naqvi raised them by 30 percent.
The budget will be presented by Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, the Finance Minister of Punjab. With the help of the NFC award, the federal government is aiming to give Punjab 3,700 billion rupees.
