As law enforcement in the border regions between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab diminishes, occurrences of terrorism have escalated.
In the previous year, nine terrorist incidents have been documented in the Sargodha and DG Khan areas.
These assaults resulted in the fatalities of two police officers and one citizen, with numerous others injured.
The Inspector General (IG) of Punjab ascribed these assaults to inadequate infrastructure at border stations.
A report has been presented to the Punjab Home Department, advocating for the enhancement of 30 border outposts in Sargodha and DG Khan.
