Putin will travel to China on May 19–20 in order to deepen their “comprehensive partnership.”
Following US President Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing, Russian President Vladimir Putin will make a two-day trip to China on May 19, the Kremlin announced on Saturday.
According to a Kremlin statement, the Russian president will talk with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping about how to “further strengthen the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation” between Beijing and Moscow during the visit.
It further stated that after their talks, Putin and Xi will “exchange views on key international and regional issues” and sign a joint proclamation.
Putin and Chinese Premier Li Qiang are expected to talk about trade and economic cooperation during the visit.
