Rain-related incidents in Lahore resulted in three deaths and seven injuries.

One person died and five others were injured after the roof of a home fell in a village close to the Baba Bulleh Shah Interchange in Gajjumata, Lahore.

There were two casualties when another roof collapsed at Shaukat Khanum Chowk. For medical care, one of the injured was brought to Jinnah Hospital.

Electric shock killed two persons in two separate occurrences.

Reportedly, a 30-year-old male motorcyclist received an electric shock subsequent to his motorcycle colliding with an electrical pole. Identity of the deceased was unknown.

A man received a severe electric shock after touching an electricity pole on the premises of the Kot Lakhpat police station. Once at the General Hospital, he was pronounced dead despite being brought there.

LAHORE’S RECIPROCCING RAIN

Following the most rainfall in 44 years, the Punjab government issued a rain emergency declaration for Lahore. Low-lying areas were inundated due to the rain.

Traffic in the provincial capital was severely hindered as drivers attempted to complete their daily tasks due to the torrential downpour that flooded roads and streets in multiple regions.

Many Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) feeders tripped due to rain, causing power outages in some areas of the city. This country’s current rainy spell is expected to last until August 6, according to the Met Office’s prediction.
