Parvez Elahi, a PTI leader and former chief minister of Punjab, suffered serious injuries after collapsing at Adiala Jail.
Elahi’s medical records state that he suffered a fracture to his right fourth rib after tripping in the correctional restroom.
According to the sources, the former chief minister’s forehead was also hurt during the accident, and his left side of the head had obvious wounds.
According to the reports, he had injuries on his left arm and close to his left eye. He also had swelling on the right side of his chest.
According to the X-rays collected in the jail, Elahi’s left knee was also hurt in the incident.
The former chief minister was evaluated by medical professionals from Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi and PIMS Hospital in Islamabad. Experts in general surgery, cardiology, and orthopaedics were among the panel of senior physicians. Later, Elahi was told to take a two-week break.
The Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad received the medical reports from the jail superintendent.
