The use of helmets by motorcyclists is now required in all districts of Punjab, and entry to certain key locations is prohibited for those who choose not to wear them.
Major Boulevard, Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Canal Road, and Main Boulevard will all have special checkpoints installed, according to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Amara Athar.
The following locations have additional checkpoints: Adda Plot, Lake City, Abdul Sattar Edhi Road, and Shanu Baba Chowk.
Patrolmen will be posted at the entrance and departure of major thoroughfares in order to enforce these laws.
