Details reveal that Salman Akram Raja, a candidate supported by the PTI, filed a case before the IHC challenging the NA-128 Lahore election results.

He asked the court to halt NA-128 Lahore’s announcement of Aun Chaudhry’s election victory in 2024.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was previously prohibited by the Lahore High Court (LHC) from disclosing the results of the election in the National Assembly seat (NA-128) in Lahore, where an independent candidate sponsored by the PTI was running against Awn Chaudhry, the IPP candidate.

Salman Akram Raja submitted a petition alleging that the returning officer (RO) had broken the election statute by withholding the election results, and on that basis, the directions were given.

It is important to note that Awn Chaudhry, the candidate of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), who received support from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), won with 172,576 votes in NA-128 Lahore, defeating the independent candidate supported by the PTI with 159,024 votes, according to the ECP data.
