Section 144 imposed in DI Khan for 30 days
Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Hikmatullah has enforced Section 144 in the district for a period of one month, the order bans rallies, processions, demonstrations and public gatherings for 30 days to maintain peace and order.
An official statement said a ban has also been imposed on pillion riding on motorbikes, display of weapons and setting up tents on highways in Dera Ismail Khan.
The deputy commissioner announced that Section 144 will be in force from October 13 to November 11. The restrictions are intended to maintain peace and order in the district.
The announcement further explained that violators of Section 144 would be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
