Security forces kill terrorist in Bannu operation
Security sources said security forces carried out an intelligence based operation in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing one terrorist.
The operation was carried out on confirmed intelligence about the terrorist’s presence, the sources added.
The security forces are keeping a careful watch on the presence and movement of militants in the area with a view to thwarting their actions and curtailing their operational capacities.
They stated counter-terror operations are proving effective in destroying extremist networks and restricting movement.
The activities are being conducted under Azm-e-Istehkam concept for strengthening the battle against terrorism.
Security forces have promised they would continue the operations against the militants till the threat is eliminated and reiterated their determination to wipe out terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
