Security personnel repel a BLA attack in the Mach region of Balochistan

MACH: Security personnel thwarted a terrorist “fire raid” attempt by members of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the Mach region of Balochistan late on Monday, according to reports cited by Geo News.

According to The News, terrorists launched multiple rockets from mountains on Monday night, followed by a barrage of gunfire, leaving Mach city deafening and pitch-black.

Explosions and gunfire also occurred in Kolpur and Gokhart Bibi Nani neighbourhoods, trapping people inside their homes.

At 9:30 p.m., in the Mach region of Kuchi Bolan, unknown individuals fired fifteen rockets from the mountains, according to security sources.

Eight missiles landed in the city and nearby areas, four rained into the FC headquarters, one landed in the Levies police station, and two dropped upon Mach Jail Colony.

When the rockets burst into loud explosions and massive fireballs, the city plunged into darkness, and soon the market closed.

Several homes’ windowpanes were damaged by the thunderous blasts. Sources claim that the government in Kolpur and Dharar barred all types of vehicles. Explosions and gunfire could be heard late into the night in Kolpur and Gokhart Bibi Nani.

According to the sources, security personnel set up an ambush for the terrorists after receiving information about the terrorist strike.

They said that the terrorists withdrew after being overpowered by the security forces’ strong reaction.

According to insiders, security personnel have begun a search operation against the terrorists who are escaping.

Security troops in the Mach area on Monday night “successfully thwarted three coordinated attacks” by terrorists, according to Jan Achakzai, the acting minister of communications for Balochistan.

Achakzai went on to say that the terrorists withdrew and were being pursued by law enforcement. “With God’s grace, we continue to hope that all threats will be removed before dawn.”
