Judge Salahuddin Panhwar of the Supreme House of Common Council issued the instructions after observing that special courts had not been established inside Municipal Corporation boundaries for ten years.

The judge noted that although ten years had passed since the Sindh Assembly revised the Special Courts Ordinance in 2013, special courts had not been established inside Municipal Corporation boundaries throughout the province.

Declaring that the creation of special courts was required by law, the SHC gave the authorities a month to establish special courts.

Contempt of court will be applied for noncompliance, said the SHC judge.
