Sindh government criticised by Mustafa Kamal for Karachi problems

MQM leader and Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal has lashed out at Sindh administration for what he alleged is accountable for multitude of problems in Karachi.

The minister said he would hold a rally in Sohrab Goth on September 27. Talking to journalists here on Sunday, MQM leader Mustafa Kamal voiced significant worry over the state of water, sewage, transport and basic facilities in the City, and said he gave water to the residents of Lyari.

He questioned the utilisation of resources in Sindh, adding that with Rs22,000 billion, Sindh could have been improved 50 times but people were still deprived of basic necessities. He asserted that homes were being constructed in Dubai with public money.

“The rulers are creating divisions among people and the present system has been disappointing people for the last 70 years,” the federal minister added.

Talking about the administrative structure, Mustafa Kamal stated Lahore is one district and Karachi has been separated into seven districts. His party was not against but supported the call for new administrative entities, he said.

He called to activists and residents to join the cause, stating, “Don’t vote for us, just support us in this movement. People should come together and ask for their rights from the government.

He said MQM is not only a party of a certain neighbourhood but is the party of whole Karachi including Sohrab Goth, Lyari, Katti Pahari, Liaquatabad and Orangi.

Sohrab Goth will host a rally of Pashtuns on September 27, Mustafa Kamal stated. He said the rally will also take conducted in Larkana after the rallies in Karachi and Hyderabad.
