The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Sindh, cautioning that a fresh round of monsoon is predicted to pound Southern Sindh until Saturday, asked the public to stay updated through official channels and take safety precautions during the current heavy rainfall.
In addition to providing much-needed reprieve from the oppressive heat, the rain is expected to strike areas close to Karachi and Badin. However, low-lying areas run the risk of flash floods and urban flooding.
To manage the current rainfall in the province, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority Sindh is evaluating plans and implementing important actions.
The PDMA is giving dewatering pumps to different municipal corporations and district administrations in an effort to lessen the effects of the intense downpour. The goal of this action is to stop urban flooding by quickly draining stored water.
