The start of the 2024–25 fiscal year saw a notable 44% increase in remittances from Pakistanis living abroad, largely attributable to the work and support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
Remittances have increased by $1.81 billion to $5.94 billion, according to State Bank figures, from $4.12 billion in July and August of last year.
In August 2024, the United Arab Emirates contributed $538.4 million, Saudi Arabia $713.1 million, the United Kingdom $474.8 million, and the United States $322.4 million in remittances.
