Terrorist leader eliminated in Lakki Marwat operation.
The Lakki Marwat Police, in conjunction with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), eliminated a sought-after terrorist leader during a coordinated operation in Lakki Marwat, according to police reports.
The Chief Police Officer stated that the deceased commander, known as Manzoor, was sought in connection with multiple terrorism-related incidents and assaults on civilians.
The initiative was initiated against militants purportedly implicated in an assault on athletes returning from a game in the Abdul Khel region.
The assault, occurring a day prior, resulted in the fatalities of three soldiers and injuries to three further personnel, as reported by law enforcement.
During the operation, security forces eliminated Manzoor and seized his remains. Authorities reported that a search operation is ongoing in the vicinity to identify further persons purportedly engaged in terrorist operations.
Officials indicated that additional information will be provided as the search effort advances.
