The Indus River Is Still Flowing at a Medium, Low Flood Level: FFC

The Indus River System’s major rivers are all releasing their normal flows, according to the Federal Flood Commission, with the exception of the River Indus, which is flowing in “medium flood” in the Sukkur-Kotri reach and in “low flood” at the Guddu Barrage.

For the past nine years, Tarbela Reservoir has continued to operate at its maximum conservation level of 1550 feet, per the daily FFC Report. Mangla Reservoir, on the other hand, is currently 25 feet below its mean coastal level of 1242 feet, standing at an elevation of 1217 feet.

The depression that was over Southeastern Rajasthan, India, yesterday has deepened and moved south-southwestward, ending up over North Gujarat, India, according to the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore.
