The swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Amjad Hussain Advocate, slated for July 1 in the GB Assembly, has been postponed.

Amjad Hussain Advocate, in a statement published on Sunday, acknowledged the postponement and said the decision was taken due to the hectic schedule of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He added Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the special guest on the oath-taking ceremony and a new date for the ceremony will be announced later.

It is worthy to mention here that Amjad Hussain Advocate is the president of Pakistan People’s Party Gilgit-Baltistan chapter and has been elected to Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly for a second term.
